Therapies & Treatments

Aromatherapy

Full body massage – 1hr £35
Back & legs – 40 mins £20

Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils to promote both psychological and physical well-being. The therapeutic effects of oils may help to maintain and restore our physical health by stimulating and balancing the body’s own chemistry. Aromatherapy massage combines the benefits of two separate and dynamic therapies which may help to promote a sense of balance and well-being.

Essential oils can be used in a number of ways – in the bath, in a diffuser, in a room spray, by inhalation, or by massage; the oils can also be used in meditation or on pulse points.

Massage may help to:

  • Aid relaxation
  • Improve circulation by bringing oxygen and other nutrients to body tissues
  • Relieve muscle tension and pain
  • Increase flexibility and mobility
  • Reduce pain and stiffness in muscles and joints by clearing lactic acid and other toxins

Reflexology

1 hr £35

Reflexology is a healing art, which dates back to Ancient Egypt, India and China; it is a gentle therapy and is suitable for all age groups and may bring relief from a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.

Reflexology uses precise pressure point techniques which may induce relaxation, improve circulation and encourage an individual’s own healing systems to be activated enabling the body to return to a state of balance. Reflexology may:

  • Reduce tension and induce deep relaxation
  • Reverse the effects of stress
  • Allow the body to balance itself
  • Increase circulation
  • Cleanse the body of toxins
  • Be useful as a preventative tool in health care management

Reiki

1 hr £35

Reiki is a Japanese word derived from Rei, meaning "Universal" and Ki meaning "the vital life force"; these Japanese characters, when combined, present the concept of "Universal Life-force Energy." Reiki is often defined as the art of activating, applying and balancing the universal life force energy that dwells within every living being, animal or plant.

Reiki is an holistic form of healing may work on the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual levels at the same time; the term "healing" refers to the balancing of energy in the body so that it may heal itself. Reiki is often described as a gentle yet powerful healing energy; it is non invasive and relaxing; you remain fully clothed, lying on a therapy couch and the Reiki practitioner applies gentle touch from the head right down to the toes.


Weight Management

£30 per hr

Eileen offers one to one coaching and support sessions in weight management.

These sessions are for individuals who are committed to achieving healthy long-term weight loss and optimum wellness through positive lifestyle changes.

It is not for individuals who want a quick fix solution of replacement meals or crash dieting; it is not about trying to change too quickly, it is about developing a new lifestyle. We will work with you to enable you to identify your unhealthy behaviours and together we will draw up a suitable individualised support programme to help you to make positive long-term changes.

It takes time, dedication, motivation and support to unlearn unhealthy behaviours and develop new, healthy ones so the programme will include:

  • Relaxation techniques and use of complementary therapies
  • An agreed level of on line and telephone support between sessions.

6 – 9 sessions are recommended.


Stress Awareness

£30 per hr

Willow Therapies offer one to one coaching and support sessions in stress awareness.

Eileen works with her clients to help to identify the source of their stress and then together we draw up a suitable individualised support programme to help them manage and reduce the impact of that stress on their life.

Eileen uses a variety of techniques appropriate to each individual – including breathing exercises, meditation, relaxation exercises and complementary therapies.

6 sessions are generally recommended.


Workshops

Eileen can also provide Stress Awareness workshops which can be delivered and tailored to suit the needs of the client group.
